Founded in January 2008 by Dr. Bryan Baker, Serenade is a chamber choir of 24 singers selected by audition. Its varied repertoire ranges from Baroque and Romantic works to spirituals and popular music. Serenade performs concerts in more intimate settings, at private and public events such as weddings and parties.

Serenade has performed in beautiful venues throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, such as the Legion of Honor, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Half Moon Bay, the Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, and in private homes in Woodside, Hillsborough, and surrounding communities. The chamber choir most recently performed the US premiere of Assassin’s Creed Symphony at Davies Symphony Hall.

Holiday Pop-Ups are ensembles of singers from Masterworks Chorale that perform holiday repertoire at various community and private events. Recent engagements include the Samaritan House Toy Shop and our annual performance on the Caltrain Holiday Train.

Repertoire includes sing-along and performed carols, a selection of familiar holiday favorites, and inclusive repertoire including Hanukkah and Spanish language pieces. Performances vary and range from family fun to more formal holiday performances.
