Brahms’ Requiem is both deeply personal and profoundly universal, honoring the dead but explicitly written for the living. Full of emotional expressiveness that acknowledges the inevitability of loss, the necessity of grief, and the blessing of solace, this masterpiece takes listeners on a journey from despondency to comfort, grounded in faith and love.
Performed with full orchestra.
Saturday, October 31 at 2pm Sunday, November 1 at 4pm Carlmont Performing Arts Center, Belmont
